FLEET OF PLATFORMS AND SEMI-WAGONS
For expensive goods and at the request of customers, we regularly apply the scheme of transportation in gondola cars. This scheme involves placing the container in such a way as to leave a minimum space between the container doors and the end wall of the gondola, which makes opening the container doors difficult and almost impossible, and sufficiently reduces the risk of theft or theft. The wooden frame required to be placed on the bottom of the gondola prevents any uncontrolled movement or displacement of the container and eliminates the risk of damage associated with such movement or displacement.
80 FOOT PLATFORMS IN OPERATION
In the first quarter of 2018, Silvirom OY started offering customers transport on 80-foot platforms that allow 2x40ft containers to be loaded on a single platform “under cover”, i.e. with doors inside, which makes it possible to further protect containers from unauthorized opening and theft of cargo. 80 foot platforms can also accept a 4x20ft container or a combination of one 40FT in the middle and 2x20FT at the ends of the platform.
40 and 60 FOOT PLATFORMS IN OPERATION
Since October 2016, Silvirom OY has also been offering customers transport on 40 and 60 – foot platforms, which also allow the shipment of “undercover” containers to a single platform in combinations of 2x20FT, 3x20FT and 1x40FT + 1x20FT. In addition, Silvirom OY sends oversized cargo on platforms of this length.
